Before finding traditional Stoicism, Max dabbled in other wisdom traditions, Eastern and Western, all with some overlap when it came to some of the central themes of traditional Stoicism, as it turned out. In 2023, he found the College of Stoic Philosophers through the ‘Stoicism on Fire’ podcast, where the concepts of Stoicism finally were made coherent to him. He subsequently completed the SES and Marcus Aurelius program. His practice now consists of continued studies, reading, meditating and striving to apply the philosophy in everyday life. Max is based in Sweden, where he works as an elementary school teacher.
