Walter N. Moss is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology at Iowa State University, where his research focuses on RNA structure and function. He was introduced to Stoicism almost 30 years ago via the chance discovery of a discarded copy of Meditations. He began intensive study with the College of Stoic Philosophers in 2023, becoming a Fellow of the College last year. Also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, his current interests lie in interfacing Stoic philosophy with health, fitness, and the broader landscape of modern science.
