Rob lives in the vibrant Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. The country’s sporting capital, proud of its multicultural diversity in cuisine, the arts and entertainment. His work life has been in the Community and Public Sector in areas of welfare, community development and education, and now Retail Postal Services.
He has always been fond of alternative music and likes to turn to his own growing collection of instruments for relaxation and recreation.
Rob came to learn broadly of Stoicism around mid 2020 where he started his self learning through online, videos and books. This was also a time where he felt he needed to make some changes and put some effort into his own personal development. Eventually, he found the “Stoicism on Fire” podcast and it sparked his interest further, eventually emailing the host Chris Fisher who referred to the courses run by the College of Stoic Philosophers. Out of a desire to take a practical and formal step, Rob sought enrolment and was accepted in the SES Course and continued with determination through the MAP course. He had a variety of supportive mentors from the College.
Rob is broadly interested in philosophy and continues with his self education and maintaining that it has to be practised in his daily life. He is keen to guide new students and find the best way to contribute to the College.
He is a proud father of two adult sons.
