Bill came across Stoicism by accident. He visited a book store to buy a non-philosophical book. He found the book he wanted, but also picked up a mis-shelved copy of Epictetus’ Enchiridion without realizing it – a curled price sticker connected the two books. It was discovered at the register and, since it was only a few dollars, he purchased it too. The addiction was immediate – so much so that he went back to college to major in philosophy.
Bill has a BS in Occupational Education (electronics technology), an MA in Education (instructional design and technology), and a BA in Philosophy.
Bill is retired from the military and is spending his civilian employment in the IT field, preferring work in the educational arena. He is currently a webmaster for a university in Texas.
