I am retired after 33 years as a police officer in Toronto, Canada. I attended the Stoicon in Toronto in 2017 out of curiosity. The very first speaker talked about the four Stoic virtues and I was hooked. All my life I had incoherently wondered if a life of integrity was worthwhile or if that was just for dreamers. It has been so satisfying to find a group that emphatically endorses integrity and following one’s own nature.
