Brandon Pittman, FCSP

Brandon grew up near Cincinnati, Ohio and has lived in Japan for twenty years. He has degrees in International Relations and Asian Studies and discovered his love of philosophy later in life. He is a software developer and tries to apply a traditional Stoic worldview to work and his personal life. He is married and has two sons.

He became interested in Stoicism through ethics-focused books and podcasts but became interested in traditional Stoicism after taking an interest in Stoic physics. After being atheist and agnostic for most of his life, he fully embraced the Stoic God during his time in the Marcus Aurelius Program (MAP). This fundamental change in his worldview helped him understand Stoic ethics in a way that ethics-only study never could.
