William Perez, FCSP

I was born in the Dominican Republic, but have spent half of my life in New York City. I work as a psychotherapist, a challenging but immensely rewarding career.

I found my way to Stoicism in 2013 when typing the words “how to subdue my passions” into a search engine. Stoicism, which I had admittedly never heard of until then, appeared. I purchased a slim introductory volume, a primer really and started a journey on a path I suspect I’ll be on for the rest of my days. I became fascinated by the philosophy and it became a quest to learn as much as I could. A few years later I found myself at the College of Stoic Philosophers, enrolled in the SES, and thereafter the institution has been a part of my life, in one way or another.
