Steve grew up in rural Ohio where he found a love of nature on his family’s farm. He pursued his interests by studying biology; eventually earning a M.S. from the University of Alberta where he studied Cretaceous age fossil plants. He discovered Stoicism in 2016 while reading the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. As a form of practice, he started the Sunday Stoic podcast, which he hosted for 5 years. He resides in Conway, Arkansas where he is a lecturer of biology. His hobbies include playing guitar, reading, and hiking with his wife and son.
